[DailyDoodles] 2015.12.31 – Thank you

[DailyDoodles] 2015.12.31 – Thank you

2015 was…challenging for me, but I want to say thank you anyways.

nothing is wasted.

I learned a lot.

My life changed completely, and I hope to pick up the pieces now, and build up something completely new.

Have a good 2016, human beings 💜🌅

Tools: Pen and markers on copy paper

[DailyDoodles] 2015.12.26 – Rey

This is the first time I’ve ever done any Star Wars fan art, but Rey was such a well-written female lead that I just could not resist. For me, the movie itself was so-so, but she was perfect 🙂

Made with pencil, markers and colored pencils ~

Blurry Eye tutorial study

eyetutorial_webI’m going to practice my digital painting basics in-between projects from now on, so I did a short study of blurry eyes using corel painter (though the tutorial says to use SAI, but I have a mac that doesn’t support it). It was easy enough, but I didn’t get the results exactly as the tutorial shows. Here’s the tutorial below:

I think it’s because I didn’t use lock pixels, so the color was going all over the place. Well, I’ll keep trying 🙂 I do hope someone makes a version for SAI soon, because I really like what I’ve seen made with the software.

Merry Xmas and Happy 2016!

I spent most of today trying to finish it before midnight, so it’d be posted on the 21st still, as a Solstice offering.

Well, it’s 23:55 now, so I guess I made it, woohoo! 😀

Merry Xmas everybody!

And have an amazing 2016: year of the monkey 🐒

Much love,

– A.

I’ve had Sam’s songs stuck in my head for a while now. He’s quickly become one of my favorite singers. I listed to the album on repeat the whole time I was drawing this (3.5 hours aprox.)

He’s just so adorable, I couldn’t resist drawing him! 😻💜
