I saw this picture floating around on the official X-Files Facebook page, and I absolutely loved the concept. I decided to try and recreate it. Original in black & white on Corel Painter; different versions made with filters in Photoshop:

Ever since the announcing of the new 6-episode series starting this January, I have been so psyched! X-files is probably my all-time favorite TV series and it reminds me so much of growing up in the 90’s. I have been watching all the seasons in preparation and getting pulled back in the mythology and the conspiracy. CSM (Cigarette-Smoking Man) is one of the best characters ever created for TV, and this picture captures his enigmatic and eerie feel.
