[SKETCHES] Asha (GoT SPOILER!)

[art] Asha (2012.02.07)

A sketch I made of Asha (how I imagine her) from “Game of Thrones” (those who have read past the 1st book will know who she is). I’m on book 5, and though she’s not doing so well there, she’s still one of my favorite women from GoT (though Dany is still my #1)

New drawing and new haircut

selfportrait_may09_web

New drawing! Well, not so much new as inked today, but I sketched it about a week ago. I drew the haircut I wanted to get, and yesterday in a mix of boredom, frustration and unwillingness to go to a hairdresser here in Japan that will have no clue what to do with my curly hair, I did it myself. Took only an hour ( in the end, it was mostly cutting off a bit of length, that’s all), and now this is my new look. Perfect for the upcoming heat wave, ugh…

New Sketch – “Do you know this guy?”

caleb_eiced_websketch

I finally have some time for just sketching (Golden Week is here! Finally!), so I just sat back last evening at home and sketched away, and came up with this. Caleb had asked me to make him a sketch for an idea he had for a story, but wanted something not so “cartoony”. I kept that in mind, but basically just sketched what felt right, so didn’t really pay much attention to his request, heheh :p

I also made a bunch of other sketches of my own characters, etc. and even a new self portrait! But it is not yet the time to reveal them. Soon, soon… :D

New Art – 5 of Cups and The Magician

Greetings! There’s brand new art!

Both are contributions to my ongoing  illustration project of my personal rendition of Tarot Cards. The Magician one was actually done about a year and a half ago, but finally now I had access to a big enough scanner to digitalize it. It was done with prismacolor pencils, unlike The Fool, which was painted digitally. Five of Cups is still waiting for me to dish out the cash and buy that Wacom tablet I’ve been putting off for so long…

Anyways, enjoy :)
